August 2015 – Networking Meeting

Desley Sayers at LCWIB Meeting

It was a chilly Thursday morning for the last meeting – however, it was warm and happy inside the Springwood Towers Bistro https://www.facebook.com/bistrospringwoodtowers – so all was well. As always Paul and Vanessa looked after us very well. Maybe that is why it is the favourite spot for LCWiB meetings.

It was pleasing to note an increase in numbers from previous months – and now with spring being very close I am sure more ladies will venture out early.

The presenter for August was Desley Sayers from http://www.revivecosmetics.com.au/ or https://www.facebook.com/pages/Revive-Skin-Clinic It was a lively and informative presentation on looking after your skin. Desley runs the “beauty” side of the Clinic. There is no need to put up with barnacles, age spots, as there are many non-surgical processes that they can do to make the individual look and feel better. There were a few little hiccups to get the PowerPoint working, but it was worth the effort. There was great feedback from the presentation – we might just have to make that an annual event. Desley was at pains to point out however, that it is smarter to look out for your skin from a young age, rather than rely on a “fix” later in life.

Tracey Finlay from the Logan Office of Economic Development was the lucky “Pot Luck” Speaker. She obviously loves her job as she talked passionately about what they offer and how they can help businesses and business people in Logan. If you would like to know more – then follow either of these links. https://www.facebook.com/LOEDbusiness or http://www.loed.com.au/ They are part of Logan City Council and operate out of the main Council building in Logan Central.

See you all next month – at Al Sahara , 126 Springlands Drive, Slacks Creek – 3rd September for a 7am start.

What About Me?

August has been and interesting month in linen land. We have had a fantastic pillow offer – buy 2 and get one free. I can tell you that I have sold loads of pillows in August. BUT I think September is going to be an even better month. September is birthday month for Lorraine Lea – and with Spring in the air and stacks of new products it is a FANTASTIC time to party. Not only will you receive two free Cooper towels (colour of your choice) to the value of $64.00 plus you and all your guests can receive, again absolutely free, a throw rug when they purchase any quilt cover set bigger than a single. I have had people contact me since the offer was released. So not only will I celebrate my own birthday in late August, I can celebrate Lorraine Lea’s birthday all September long. If you would like to know more check out all the products on line at www.lorrainelea.com.au or follow me on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/MaureenRobb.LLL
