October 2015 Networking Meeting

Jo Devin

It was a beautiful spring morning – Thursday 1st October – a great morning to be out and sharing and connection with all the wonderful women who make up Logan City Women in Business.

What an inspiring session we had with Jo Devin from Positive Learning Skills. Jo talked about “being in the moment” and looking after your own happiness. As it says on Jo’s website http://plslearningsolutions.com.au/ She believes that every man woman and child deserves to live a fulfilled life and her programs are all about empowering people to be able to identify and realise their potential, so they are happier people, who are more focused and effective performers in life. She teaches people the tools and skills to manage challenges, set goals and learn new behaviours to drive success and experience an enhanced quality of life.

It was a chilly Thursday morning for the last meeting – however, it was warm and happy inside the Springwood Towers Bistro https://www.facebook.com/bistrospringwoodtowers – so all was well. As always Paul and Vanessa looked after us very well. Maybe that is why it is the favourite spot for LCWiB meetings.

It was pleasing to note an increase in numbers from previous months – and now with spring being very close I am sure more ladies will venture out early.

5th March Networking Breakfast

Barbara Clifford

It is always very interesting and enjoyable to attend the monthly networking – in fact I look forward to the first Thursday of the month as now I get to catch up with women I consider to be my friends.

I had the privilege of being the MC for the March meeting – I was very apprehensive about taking on this added role for the day – but hey – “in for a penny in for a pound” I survived and it was great to receive positive feedback from a few ladies too. Thank you for that.

September Networking Event Highlights

Logan City Women in Business September Meeting

Logan City Women in Business – 4th September 2014 meeting With Maureen Robb

Networking breakfast for September —if I had to sum up the event in just a few words it would have to be:

  • Happy: only smiling faces turn up, even at 7am!
  • Sharing: women love to share and help — this is women helping women.
  • Collaborative: so much business is happening within the group — helping one another.
  • Fun: you never leave without a few laughs.

LCWiB continues to astound all who get involved, and I couldn’t agree more. It is definitely women supporting women, and really isn’t that we all like to do?
